We stained these finials, also purchased the curtain rod holders from capitol city lumber . We stained and then used polyurethane. Purchased 7 sets of each. All excellant condition. Exactly as pictured and described and I saved alot of money by staining everything myself. I had found the poles on sale in a store and just needed the finials and rod holders. Perfect fit for the 1 3/8 wooden rod. Also, pleasant surprise is that the finial includes the screw to attach to the pole which is removable. They fit perfecty with the 1 3/8 poles. I needed to replace some of my old shoji window shades and decided to get these without being able to really see and touch them first. They're made from a superior quality of rice paper than my old ones-- a denser paper, more sturdy, and they do a better job of blocking the glaring Southwestern light while allowing that wonderful translucent experience. I'm totally happy with these shades and just ordered one more. Also, the price is totally right. Excellent product !

I ordered 3 of them; 1 had a broken wand holder. The company immediately sent me a new one. For the first time I have mini blinds that actually fit the long windows in the front of my mobile home.....amazes me how much better it looks from the front. This covering is advertised as canvas; it is not. Rather it is a very lightweight cotton muslin. Your bedsheet is probably thicker than this fabric. You can make out shapes and movement at night if you are looking in from the outside, which is just what I was hoping to avoid.

I was also sent the wrong color, so waiting has been an annoyance.
