The light was exactly as described, light weight, easy to install. The LED lights are adequate but you should consider the size of your art work you wish to be illuminated as surface area coverage tends to best be suited for small to medium art work. As the on/off switch is on the side of the LED light bar, you will also need to consider your ability to activate the switch once it has been installed above your art work. My personal placement of a painting is above a firplace mantel and requires a stepping stool for me to switch it on/off. None the less, I still prefer this battery operated unit to having electrical wires cluttering the display appearance. Overall, I am very happy with the light and you can not beat the price.

I read the other reviews but took a chance anyway. It came with a missing bulb but I was too lazy to send back. It's way too low light for a large picture. Might be good for an 8x10, maybe 11x14 but that's it. One of those "you get what you pay for" scenarios. Rite Lite LPL600G 6 LED

The picture lights are wonderful. However, some are brighter than others. Some light-up my paintings beautifully and some DO NOT. The brightness of the lights varies greatly from one to another.

I was looking for a some picture lighting. I read the reviews and realized I have the same lighting problem with a GE mini refrigator. The light burnt out (still under warranty) shorting after I purchased it. I called GE. They told Me to purchase it locally. No one stocks it. Apparently not even GE. This light is faulty. It creates a line of light across the picture and doesn't illuminate properly. The illumination is of very poor quality.

Product is well made, and aesthetically pleasing, but a major draw back is that the level of illumination is insufficient. Having to load up 8 type C alkaline batteries is a also a drag and adds considerable weight to the unit. For a $50 dollar unit one would expect a more thoughtful product that pumps out adequate illumination.
